Before you order

What you receive
Climate risk certificate PDF (multi-hazard)
How it is prepared
A named qualified reviewer assesses material current and future climate hazards affecting the property.
Scope to check
  • A reviewed desk assessment, not a physical survey, valuation or guarantee.

Check the site, boundary and available coverage before payment. The stated delivery period is a target; any further information needed for your order will be identified during review.

The question it answers

“Which climate hazards are material for this asset — now, and out to the 2080s?”

The Climate Risk Certificate screens an asset against the full set of physical climate hazards — flood, sea level and tidal, heat, wildfire, wind, drought and subsidence, compound exposure — plus MEES transition stranding. Each hazard is scored, banded and flagged for materiality under current and future climate scenarios, then reviewed by a specialist.

Designed for decisions

Who it’s for

Asset owners & managers

A screening-level view of climate exposure across a building or site, in language a risk register understands.

Lenders & investors

Materiality-flagged hazard scores aligned to SS5/25 framing, for credit and acquisition decisions.

Corporates & advisers

A defensible first screen before committing to full TCFD/ICAAP-grade analysis.

Report contents

What’s inside

  1. 01

    Aggregate exposure band (A–E)

A single at-a-glance score and band for the asset, with the drivers stated plainly.

  2. 02

    Eight hazard scorecards

Sea-level/tidal, flood, heat, wildfire, wind/storm, drought/subsidence, compound exposure and MEES transition — each scored 0–100, banded, and marked material or not.

  3. 03

    Scenario trajectories

How each material hazard's score evolves under published scenario pathways (Bank of England BES, NGFS) across 1–5, 5–10, 10–30 and 30+ year horizons — as charts, not hand-waving.

  4. 04

    Asset profile & materiality reasoning

The asset's location, type and value context, and why each hazard crosses (or doesn't cross) the screening materiality threshold.

  5. 05

    Companion methodology PDF

Data sources, scenario choices and scoring logic, documented for whoever has to defend the number.

Evidence base

Built on published data

  • UKCP18 climate projections (RCP 2.6 / 4.5)
  • EA NaFRA 2 flood risk & climate-uplifted flood mapping
  • Sea-level rise and tidal exposure datasets
  • BGS ground stability data (where available)
  • EPC register (MEES transition trajectory)

Practical detail

Questions, answered

Which hazards are covered?

Sea-level/tidal, flood, heat, wildfire, wind/storm, drought/subsidence, compound exposure, and MEES transition stranding — eight scorecards, each banded and materiality-flagged.

What scenarios do you use?

Hazard projections use published UK climate projections (UKCP18, RCP 2.6/4.5) out to the 2080s; trajectory charts follow Bank of England BES and NGFS scenario pathways across planning horizons. The methodology PDF states every choice.

Is this SS5/25 compliant?

It's SS5/25-oriented screening — materiality framing follows the supervisory statement's language so results drop into a firm risk register, but it doesn't replace a full regulatory submission.

Does it work for any asset?

Any UK property or site — homes, commercial buildings, schools, infrastructure. Tell us the asset type at order and the materiality thresholds adjust accordingly.
