API and MCP acceptable-use and licensing terms
These terms apply to Aegaea Digital API keys, prepaid component calls and remote MCP access, alongside the sales terms and capability catalogue.
1. Account and credentials
Keys belong to the verified account that created them. Keep each key confidential, give it only the scopes needed and revoke it promptly if it may have been exposed. You are responsible for activity performed with an active key issued to your account.
2. Charging and availability
The published price revision is charged once for a successful chargeable call. Validation, authentication, provider and server failures are not chargeable. Prepaid balance is not a bank account, cannot be transferred and is refundable only where the law or an express written term requires.
Rate limits, planned maintenance and upstream availability can affect access. A capability may return unavailable rather than inventing a result when evidence is absent.
3. Permitted use
A standard key permits internal analysis for the account holder. It does not grant resale, sublicensing, bulk republication, creation of a competing dataset or partner/onward-use rights unless Aegaea confirms those rights in a separate written licence.
4. Prohibited use
You must not bypass metering or access controls, probe another customer, interfere with the service, submit unlawful material, misrepresent provenance, remove required attribution or use outputs to make a solely automated decision where applicable law requires human review or another safeguard.
5. Suspension and termination
Aegaea may restrict or revoke a key to protect customers, data providers or the service, respond to suspected misuse or comply with law. Where practicable, Aegaea will explain the restriction and provide a route to resolve it.
